Retrofitting intercooler sprayer into EVO IX?

Is it even worth the hassle if a retrofit is possible? Why was it dropped in the first place... cost cutting measure I assume? Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the rest of the world still get IC sprayers, and just the NA market lost it?

It was removed because of lack of space on 05's and up. I think SARD makes a intercooler sprayer kit.

LOL... sorry, brain fart.

At least our FMIC's don't get as heat soaked as the TMIC on the Scoobs...

Look into Nitros cooled systems. They have a really great set for the EVO 9. Adds little peformance, but deff keeps all the working parts at the right temp. They cut the stock sprayers in 05. Cost and Mitsu didnt want customers overusing or underusing the sprayer. I heard somewhere also that they cut em because of warranty issues. Dont know if thats true or not. dont quote me on that.

Cost cutting??? We got something much more expensive and MUCH more valuable in its place - it's called ACD. The ACD reservoir is right where the useless IC sprayer tank used to be...

IC sprayers and Cryo systems are kinda worthless honestly. If I'm gonna spray nitrous it's gonna go in or on....

in or on....think about that for a second and which do you prefer =p

I was referring to the actual choice you have of the sprayer. Not if it was replaced.

From my own conclusion the IC sprayer was not really a performance aid. If it was then it was almost insignificant.

Sometimes I don't even know if this thing works or not. I have never heard mine spray, obviously can't hear it over the engine screaming and turbo spool. Anyone know when it's supposed to start spraying in "auto" mode. There are time where I've sat at a light during the summer and I'll give it a quick spray.
