Horrible drive home. need help please...

hey all, i was on my way home from work tonight around 10:15pm, and i had just gotten off one parkway onto another. Was in 4th gear, about to shift into 5th, when all of a sudden my engine bay exploded, i heard things coming off, popping, and then massive amounts of smoke started pouring from the hood.
Luckily i made it to the shoulder without harming any other motorists, to find a trail of fluid from my car and the engine bay still smoking. When the smoke stopped, i popped the hood to find coolants and oil everywhere. Had the car towed back home, and the tow guy seems to think that my engine had a crack in it and tonight's drive home did it in for.

I need help with a place to get the car looked at, evaluated, and eventually fixed. I had antifreeze as well as oil in the mixture under my car, so I'm definately in some deep **** right now as far as repairs.

Until then, it's at my local gas station. I know its hard right now because i dont know exactly what happened, but i'm going to try and take some pics tomorrow, in the meantime if anyone has a good idea as to what i might need as far as parts and repairs please let me know. I'm still new to the whole evaluating and fixing engine thing so any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

How about car went lean for reasons of changes or whatever to the tune detonates, throws rod, thrown rod hits balance shaft, and boom motor could look like this. Hope yours isn't this bad becuase this is like replace the bottom end kinda bad. Thats 3k for a perfectly stock motor or maybe more if you want to have a built bottom end.

Well i am the second owner of the car, i bought it the first week on january and everything was already done, installed, and tuned. The person i bought it from is a well respected driver and i am by no means pointing the finger that he knew that this would happen. the car was running great and then this happened so i'm just thinking i have horrible luck.

The car just hit 20k as far as mileage, and its a 2005. i'm going now to look at it again since i havent seen her since last night. it's at a gas station but i'm probably going to have it towed to my house until i have the funds to put her back on the road. =(

Even if the driver was well respected you should know who tuned the car and how. It could have been tuned dangerously lean making it a ticking time bomb.

well if so, the time bomb went off. I'll find out later about who and where it's been tuned. i'm at my job right now and kind of have to pretend i'm working even though i only care about my baby right now but lets say that the bearings are spun and the engine block is cracked / blew a hole in it like the pictures above, what do i need to get to fix this besides a new block? any other internals / externals?

You would probably be better off just getting a short block, then all u would need would be gaskets and fluid.

sorry i left that out, i do have the 255 Walbro In-Tank Fuel Pump. so it's not that. So basically i'll need a new short block? best place to get one?

i was looking at this would this be a good investment? otherwise i'm honestly taking any suggestions.
