Anyone been through Arbitration with Mitsu?

Let me know. I have a case coming up in a few weeks and I'm just looking to see if anyone has had any luck with this process. I am fighting a warranty denial for a blown motor @ 15,000 miles.

Stew vs. Mitsubishi, coming to a theater near you on April 3, 2007.

If you were smart you wouldn't discuss this case on the internet, it CAN be used against you. You may want to edit your posts.

I would walk in with a gun and demand a new motor, it would probibly give you a better of chance, but good luck.

I'm sure they already have copies of old posts, they did when I went in for warranty work last year. I'm not letting out any details of my case, but I have pretty strong documentation.

I'll post up the results and my documentation after the case is done. I was just curious if anyone has went through the process and may anything to share with me before I send my documentation in.

For now, just that my 05 spun a bearing at 15,367 miles and the warranty was denied because of a few aftermarket modifications without any investigation into the cause of the engine failure. Legally, they can't do that, and incase anyone doesnt know why, I'll explain in more detail after the case is over, which will be less than 10 days from April 3.

I'm surprised mitsu even bothers with this instead of just settleing out of court. A new motor costs them relative pennies to any bad plubicity that could come from a public trial.

Make sure you have ALL of you documention of EVERY time you had service performed. If you have any accessories (shift knob, wheels, etc) you would probably want to remove them. If you had ANY kind of "performance" modification you might have a harder time getting a buy back. Things like a air filter or cat back shouldn't make a difference. If you were 100% factory you should have no problem as long as you can prove without a doubt that you had all the required maintance performed, you would be in a better position if they were done at a dealer. Best of luck to you!
