Rolled up 1500 miles on my odo this weekend, decided it was time to change the oil. Stopped and bought the Mobil1 10w30 goodstuff and looked around for a filter for the EVO... and looked... and looked...

Are you guys using genuine
filters for your oil changes? I'd prefer to use Mobil 1 or one of the other big companies, anybody got a part number for an EVO filter??
I ended up going ahead and changing the oil anyway (had to, I've got a 2000 mile road trip coming up in just a couple of days and I simply HAD to swap out the oil before leaving!!), but since the
dealers were all closed I had to reuse the "old" filter for now!!
I'll just use the current filter for that trip and change the oil again as soon as I get back and swap the filter for a new one then.

Thanks, yes, I think that was the Mitsu part number on the one I pulled off. I will have to go that route if I can't find an aftermarket filter.
I was hoping to get a part number for a Mobil1 filter for it though... anyone?

I'd keep receipts of the oil bought or other records just in case you need to make a warranty claim. Thinking of the warranty, using Mitsu filters is also recommended.
