Fix those small spider cracks as soon as they happen. I got a small spider crack on the windshield a few months ago and when I went to wash the Evo yesterday the cold water hitting the hot windshield basically split the windshield in the half. A major crack fromed from the top to the bottom of the windshield. 
Only 11Kmi on my ride and now I need a new windshield.
