Dilemma

Im going to get my AMS kit installed on tuesday which comes with a AMS DP that hooks straight up to a AMS Cat I purchased. The problem is I have a HKS Carbon Ti Exhaust, that has a 2 bolt flange, where as the AMS cat has a 3 bolt flange. The shop I am going to doesn't do any fabrication on site and the local muffler shop I went to, said I need to get the kit on before they can do anything because it would be guess work. The AMS cat is probably twice as big as the stock cat, and the AMS exhaust that hooks right up, the pipe is not as long as the HKS. Does anyone have a solution for this as I don't want to get rid of my exhaust. Should I just run the cat and get the exhaust shop to fix it after I tune it without a exhaust? Thanks for all your help .

sell the hks and buy the ams. problem solved. ams even advertises that their cat only works with their system.

I know that, but it also says if you dont use the AMS exhaust you need to modify your current exhaust. Was wondering if anyone has done that without putting the kit on.

install the kit, dont bolt the cat up to the exhaust, drive the car to the exhaust shop and have them fix the exhaust, and then tune it

I made a appt. @ Tuning Tech., but I now want to do it @ RRE, but they are way to bz. Heard good things about both shops, but TT is getting a bad rep lately, so I want to do it at RRE. Plus I want Scott Grey to tune my car .
