The trunk was gone on impact with the tree, and started spinning the other way. Then hit a wall to take the hole back of the car off. I had a cam but had to hide the tape befor cops came and i had it all on tape. Thats the lesson u get for stupidity "Street Racing" in a city. im so lucky i got out of the car and walked! me and my friend only got a little dump on the head and thats it. i had to pri his door open and when i opened it the rear glass shatterd. The car was bent in half right down the middle and the sun roof was cracked! If ur going to race i realy advise u to do it on a track or atleast somewhere there isnt anything u can hit. Cuz once ur over 80 and u spinn ur going for a long ride!

do you still got the tape? did you post it up?

I agree with the whole "learn to drive your car" idea - but come on - even if this dork knew how to drive his car - he still shouldn't have been going any where near the speed he must have been going. I feel bad for the passanger - but the driver got what he had coming!

Learn how to drive = good idea
Learn how to drive fast = better idea
Learn how / where and when to drive fast = best idea

Seriously tho ... Thank GOD they both made it alive. a frickin MIRACLE the passenger WALKS away. and a MIRACLE the driver will have full use of his legs again.

And you know what? the chasis still looks pretty straight. HOW'S THAT FOR CHASIS RIGIDITY!?

-a WRX owner
The chassis looks pretty straight, but the floorpan is buckled. That's really bad for safety. Look at the seats, they are just crumpled up like little sponges. Of course, I don't really expect any other car to fair much better after going sideways into a completely solid object at that speed. It's an actual miracle that they both (relatively) walked away from that one. It just goes to show that todays cars are lightyears beyond cars of even 5-10 years ago in safety.

using the url to link to the page doesn't seem to work... so just copy and past/type it in.

Why do you block a window with a boob tube? And your URL doesn't work.

the link doesn't work.. but typing in what I now put in quotes should..

I block the window with the TV for two reasons
1) the windows and the view suck beyond belief in my apartment...
2) then you don't get glare from said window on your screen.

the blood on the head rest makes me wonder... but who knows!
they didn't list any deaths in the police blotter thing at the beginning of the thread.

Urm.. I don't understand why a harness would keep it from rolling.. and in the pics it looks like it did roll, but who knows for certain..

Could they have had helmets on?
