Please help! Boost acting funky

Im not exactly sure if this is boost cut or what, i will try my best to explain. So im driving 65 on the highway in 5th and decide to get on it a little. Boost starts creeping slowly and then my rpms drop about 200 and seems like my turbo hiccup'd but the car continues to pull strong after this. Any clue?

This also happens in 4th gear, kinda like the turbo lags a little to much and then it just kicks in trying to make up for what it lagged?? if thats even understandable.. Im just really frustrated right now. When i accelerate at wot for the first two gears allseems normal. Could this be boost cut? boost controller gone bad? Any help/advice would be appreciated..

No, this isnt violent at all... You can just feel the car eaze off for like 1 second. Would a boost controller cause this?

what does your boost guage indicate throughout the ordeal?

Funny thing is, seems like my first and second are more powerful or something. They just feel different. Didnt really look that much but from what i saw the guage reads fine but it does react to the "hiccups". Man i hope my turbo is fine.

Spark blowout? Check your plugs, replace or regap as necessary.

if you are worried about the turbo you can check the bearings by simply pulling off the intake pipe and with a rag grab the little shaft...it is okay to have little play if wiggle up and down, but if it slides in and out that is a problem...what you have might be boost creep...but I am not real familiar with that and I am sure that boost creep would indicate on the guage...

Hey X what's up
I had similar situation as well
I was driving down I205 after work, and cruising on 5th gear(I have GSR)
I was going like 63~mph and I wanted to pass this slow truck, so I pressed on gas(My rpm was like 3400~rpm)
My car tried to pull then felt this shrudder, my defi went off(beeping- high boost warning)
I freaked out, just like you and exited out and checked...No idea
I call TF(they did the tune) and asked what is up.
Well 5th gear has much more load so from lower RPM, the boost likes to spike way higher(I have hallman as well) and ECU pulled timing...?(That's what I'm told)
I am not an expert at all, but wanted to let you know I had very similar experience...(though my boost was set at 22.5 at this time, not 20 like you so there's variables here.)
My car is A-OK, so just double check the car in info and you should be ok.
Then again,I am no expert.

Good luck

Thanks for the word bro... Yea most likely im just gonna head up to TF and get a custom tune, hopefully that will cure the problem.
