Good place for a salvage Evo
I came across this website while looking for a chassis for my crashed '06. http://www.ridesafely.com
Every week they add a couple of Evo's to the list.

That is a nice find. You know, I'm not sure on how their offer system works but those Evo's are going for cheap if they actually sell them for that. There's an '06 MR on there going for $7,100 and there's less than a hour left. Yeah the front is wrecked but you can part out the rest for more than $7k easy.

Yep, I know what you mean. I found out if you bid on an item and are the highest bidder at auction close, it does not mean you will win the item like on the ebay. When you bid on a car, you are supposed bid the maximum you are willing to pay for that car. IF you are the highest bidder when the auction ends, the agent will bid on your behalf against other licensed buyers.

It is a good site. I bought the car there once. 93 240sx for $900 (3 years ago) with a slight dent on a side that cost $600 to fix. It's a very good site, I know about 10 people that bought cars from there...
My friend bought 99 civic coupe 5 speed for $1200. It just needed front bumper. It was 3 years ago and he's still driving it. Had like 102K miles.
When you bid you're supposed to give your best price, because after that auction it goes through other auctions. If no one else is interested then you get it. It usually goes through ridesafely and then through some dealer auction, so your chances are pretty good. But some cars like that Carrera GT it will go through every auction that is out there.
Good luck
