300 awhp

What kind of times should a 300awhp Evo measured on a dyno jet dynometer today run in the 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile asssuming a good 1.8 60ft time launch?

Before we run it Friday night, we hope to tune in another 30-45 hp by getting the fuel adjusted.

Now that my friend got his empirical evidence today, I understand why it pulled on up to 130mph as fast as it did. I'm hoping to get his dyno graph posted if I can get ahold of him again tonight.

We're hoping to run it in the 1/8 mile tomorrow night, 1/4mile on Friday night, and Saturday a very hopeful but probably have to wait Track run. Worst part is he's got his coild overs sitting in his office until he gets some base line laps in, then wants to swap the coil overs on at the track. We Have to find out if we can swap em in under 2 hours to maximize track time.

The car should run in the high 12's with an experienced driver. It could also run in the high 13's with a bad launch and missed shift.

I would predict it would run from 12.5 to 12.8 - depending on how hard you shift it with a trap of about 107 - 109 depending on the tempurature

Interestingly - his graph looks very similar to my pre-emanage - SAFC dyno sheet

http://www.pruvenperformance.com/images/aldyno3.JPG .

You can see its very choppy - due to timing being pulled due to detonation

- Then after just installing the emanage and tuning the timing - we increase the trq way up in the low end by increasing timing - and take out timing on top - to get this very smooth post emanage curve

http://www.pruvenperformance.com/images/aldyno4.JPG

I shift very very gently so my 1/4 mile times are not optimal - however - I am making some new updates this week and should be pushing 400 wheel HP for the 1st annual mistsubishi shootout at Englishtown this weekend

Oh the weather...

Well we had thunderstorms roll through the metroplex last night and power outages are all too common... joy..

Well I sure hope things dry up through the day and we can make it to the 1/8 mile track tonight. Today hopefully he'll get some fuel management on and a few extra ponies.

So the low 12 and sub 12 seconds runs are making over 400awhp?

Also what's the deal with an inch not equaling an inch? SAE horspower is a calibrated *measurement*. If other dynos are not self calibrating and put out different numbers whats the point of calling it a dynometer? It might as well be a magic number generator.

I'll probably have to correct this. This is my friends Evo and my brothers is coming along as well, might be making a little more power, he's already got a Front Mount.

If I remember correctly the Silver has a 3" exhuast, HKS Intake, Boost Controller, and 264 cams.

He is putting some fuel tunability bit on today and maybe a front mount.

I hope we'll get good weather for the next 3 days and we can get a sub 12 second run without nitrous. We should have plenty of video coverage from a few different angles as well.

Obviously they do have a stock FMIC. My brother has an aftermarket bigger intercooler already, and my friend may put one of those on as well. Sorry, that previous post at a glance does look goofy, huh.

With fuel and an *aftermarket* bigger intercooler, 350awhp should be within reach with the fuel adjustment on and tuned in.

Can't wait to tape it tomorow night, though if the weather stays as it is now, taping 1/8th mile runs tonight would be pretty cool, too.

He will have 272s or maybe even some other ones, but these were what was available right now, so until he can get the others in his hands, he's working with what he has. All in all not too bad for *only what he can get*...

For me though I can't wait to take it to the track and play with some 911 Turbos and Z06s. I may have to face the camera backwards to catch all the glorious and looks on faces as we zip by. We might have to do it with 4 people in the car for an even better shock value!

Arghggh, more thunderstorms. no racing tonight, but maybe by some miracle the track has been spared?!

Why won't drag strips allow racing in the rain. It's already dangerous, let the competitors decide. It's not like only racing in the dry prevents wrecks.

Besides It would be good fun to see some rwd sports cars drag race awd sedans and get embarrased real bad.
