New buyer to order an Evo...
Hi, I'm looking to get a new Evo8 early August. What are the chances I'll get the specs I want (color and options). Should I order now to get it in August? What are the advantages/disadvantages of ordering a car (I am new to car buying)?
Also, what's this deal on Mitsubishi's website, no interest with extended warranty?
http://www.mitsucars.com/MMSA/SalesEventCertificate
I haven't inquired about that yet, but if anyone knows, is there a catch?

Your color and options will be available. You won't have to order one. I don't know what your dealership is telling you, but the evo is here to stay, and will not be a limited production car- unless mitsubishi is run by a bunch of idiots.

Ah...I knew it was too good to be true. My excitement covered up that fine print, hehe. Do you think the Evo8 can be had for $30k out the door? I figured the invoice, holdback, destination, TT&L, and it turned out to be $29126.03.
$26891 (invoice) - $579.74 (2% holdback) + $595 (destination) + $2219.77 (tax) + $150 (title & license) = $29276.03
I read about the BS fees they may attach, like advertisement and floorplan fees, but I refuse to pay those.

Thoe,
Congrats! You'll love the car.
Read my article here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...threadid=20399 for some tips on negotiation. You should have no problem getting the color/options you want.
Two sites that are must-reads for the best possible deal:
