evo rmr filter???
hey i installed a rmr filter on my evo and it seems laggier than before and like there is no torque...i've heard that it is because of all the ECU stuff and that an AFC would cure that.....is there anyone out there with the RMR filter WITHOUT an AFC that feels a power gain with the filter? please...i need to know whether to worry about the intake problem or move on and get an afc....

The ECU will "Learn" about the new filter.. I had a similar experience at first.. after a few days it adapts.. You can accelerate the learning by disconnecting the battery cables for an hour or so.. (not even that long, but its a good amount of time)
and it has NOTHING to do with sucking in hot air.. it has to do with the lower restriction means the MAF sensor has a slightly higher frequency.. the higher frequency means more air, and more air makes the ECU want to add more fuel.. it will sort itself out..
