I really love the car so far. I'm still within the 600 mi break in period but i can tell the handling is more crisp than the M3, the power is there and I don't have to downshift to make passes. I made a comparison in the bimmerforums so I'll just copy and paste it here for you guys to check out.
So far I am very impressed with the car. Ride is very firm but does not bounce the car around as much as the ///M over bumps. I think that is due to more suspension travel in the EVO. The turbo is very fun to drive. As long as the rpm is around 3200 and up in any gear you can feel yourself being accelerated much like the feeling you get when you are taxing down the runway in a jet. Few downshifts are necessary in this car to accelerate and pass compared to the ///M. The steering is very very responsive, brakes are firm and stop very nicely, very little body roll and the HID have a very nice beam pattern. This car is really a performance car and lacks some functions and luxury things the ///M had. Including
-No cruise control
-No OBC functionality
-No heated seats
-more road noise gets in the car
-One touch automatic windows
-The bmw has a smaller turning radius than the EVO, but that is due to it being all wheel drive
-saying that I own a BMW
Some of the things that the EVO has the ///M didn't have
-TURBO!
-All wheel drive
-Seats that really hold you in unlike the slippery leather seats of the ///M
-Rear windshield wiper
-very nice Brembo brakes
- 6yr 75,000 mi bumper to bumper warranty
