351 HP / 351 TORQE Safe Tune
My EVO 9 stock turbo, air box and bottom end, 26 PSI Boost with a safe tune and 109 octane race gas makes 351HP and 351 FP of Toque, Mynes performance tuned an EVO 9, with same mod's but aggresive 1/4 mile set up got somthing ;ole 375HP 390 Torque at 28 psI boost the nubers above are on Mustang Duyno on other Dynos it might be more HP.
Hey all...
Im just curious to know what the highest whp and wtq record is for an Evo 9 with the stock turbo and stock bottom end. Its OK if the head is modded with cams, springs, retainers, etc.; no head porting or anything though.
I would like to find out essentially what the record holder put down with the stock turbo and stock motor (minus cams and other head bolt ons with untouched stock bottom end internals).
Let me know!
Thanks!

Since i have a decent modded IX i could put my 2 cents in this thread...
On a dynojet, with C16 and around 30psi boost on a full bolt-on IX with the stock turbo, head except cams, could probably see close to 435 +/- 10whp...
Before i finish my full bolt-on list i did such a run on a dyno dynamics on a C16/pump mixture at ~30psi and i saw 374whp
If i performed the same test now the number would probably be around 400whp on that dyno which is around 10% lower than a typical dynojet... (i now the % because i have done such a comparison)...
Until now i haven't done such a test again, because it is pointless... i prefer to base my power on the ETs and the trap speeds, which is the most accurate method to see if your car is powerful or not....

HUh? You can't make random WHP guesses based off what cars have run in the 1/4-mile. Curb Brown ran an 10.5 on the stock turbo, but he didn't have 500whp.
I'm not sure why in the world you'd think the highest HP stock turbo IX would have high 400s. It's hard to even hit 400, but high 400s is absurd. We're excited just to see 20g-LTs hit high 400s...
That's a gutbuster right there!!
