Instrument placement, orientation, calibration, and the correct weight will all be important for getting the most accuracy from these devices. Isn't the Evo empty about 3280lbs?

i know someone who put this into an older acura integra just for the hell of it, and it said he ran a 16.7 on the 1/4 mile. Then on sunday we went to the track, and he ran two 16.7 runs back to back ! I would say its pretty close, however, you do need to make sure everything is set correctly.

I have a coworker w/one of these units on his S4. Claims it's pretty accurate for shifting, horsepower, and 1/4 times. Where exactly do you guys connect it to?

for all those people saying that its a waste of money: I own the RR version, we put it in my friends 98 Acura GSR its on a stock engine at 9psi it made 302whp....and went 13.2 at 113.3 on street tires. the g-tech said it made 298.5 and went 13.1....if its used right its VERY acurate.

I've used the pro version, and seen it used on both Evos and the new Shelby Gt500. It was right on.

Like said, set it up right and it will be very accurate... If nothing else it gives a good benchmark to test your upgrades.

My bud posted a 12.7 & a 12.9 in the Gt500 @ 113/115 (stock, still breaking it in)

What it IS good for is to do a baseline run, then as you mod and get tuned see if any of those mods/tunes have helped/gained any hp ...

My GT Pro was within .001 of my 1/4 mile time when I brought it to the track. They are almost spot on! Not sure about the horse ppwer though.
