G TECH performance meter Pro HP reader?
Hey everyone, I recently got my hands on this G force meter that says it can accurately measure horsepower, 1/4 mile time and 0-60 time. I mounted on my front windshield I entered 3300lbs for the weight and went on the highway to test it out..apparently it said I had 328whp
Just curious how accurate these things are..I think pretty accurate considering the mods I have. What do you think? It says on the box thats its true whp considering you're really on the road during it.

I'll have to try it again for the 1/4 mile time, but If you do set It for 1/4 mile time and 0-60 you have to go thru most the gears anyway..so Im not gonna turn my local roads into a race track..

I wouldn't put much tooo stock in the WHP measurements it gives, but I know for a fact that the 0-60 times and 1/4 ETs will be very close indeed. You'll trap high just because it will give you instantaneous speed @ 1/4-mile, as opposed to the track where it averages the last 100', but even with the old ones the ET was accurate within a couple tenths.
The HP is probably a decent estimate, but no more accurate than an educated guess based on your mods would be.

Ok check it out. I have the same meter and posted something similar. The way this meter works is; its taking all considerations into giving you that number such as wind resistance, etc. And the number youre gonna get is REAR WHEEL horsepower which will always be lower than crank or something you might see on a real dyno. It explains this well in the owners manual. Exact weight will be neccesary for a close result.

Well I got it for free from this guy who drags really fast mustangs so I didnt pay a dime.
This one is an older version, but I am pretty happy with the number so since its 330rwhp I'd say I have about 300-310awhp...still happy.
