Walbro Wines Loud !

I know the walbro wines like a lil Alien ! ..i had it for a while now, it wines not too loud but a bit.

But Today ! in a 100F weather Taking it to Insurance "Insurance Dropped from $1800 to $1300", it Wined surprisingly tooo loud till the point it got annoying .. it didn't wine a bit during winter .
Even a friend of mine was asking Whats that noise coming out the rear of your Car ! and i just replied. "Fuel pump" .. because you can even hear it from the outside ..
and then as i came back home, Check Engine light came on .. i Usually Ignore it, because i had my check engine light come on alot.

Does anyone also experiencing the same thing with their Walbro Wining Too Loud ?

you need to buy the kit, I learned from this
also if you don't use the kit it doesn't always install properly and could have caused the ses light

Mine is really loud! You can hear it from about 20 yards away outside the car! But that has nothing to do with the install kit or CEL.

my friend's pump was whining like crazy, and he was told to replace the pump because it was broken or something...his pump was crazy loud though.

my pump whines too, but i like it. let's me know the damn thing's still working. i guess once it starts screaming and i start seeing CEL's i'll worry about it.

have ur pump checked out mate, if its whining ridiculously loud.

It seems that on hot days mine tends to whine a lot. Don't worry about it.

Exclamation

I know the pump has 2 "stages" in which if the engine is calling for more fuel it'l kick in to its 2nd high output mode when needed. In which case it may make more noise than usual. Also if you didnt install the rubber vibration deadening grommet properly it may make a little more noise.

I've only had mine for a few months, but no whine at all. I've read that it may onset later, but nothing yet...

mine makes a whining noise, but not as loud as you are describing. My freind who has had his pump in longer has a louder whine than me. So I guess as the pump gets older it gets louder possibly.
