if u have the extra extra money to spend... why not?
"Hey, I spent $230 on a Tial BOV, it can hold boost all day long."
"Hey, I spent $500 on a Deceptor BOV, it can hold boost all day long AND has a volume control for the psh sound."

it's not just volume guys.
if anyone here has had GFB BOV before (i have), then u would know that when they say SOUND, it actually means VTA vs. Recirc.
so with GFB loud = VTA
quite = full recirculation
i've had mine set up 30/70. 70% recirc, 30% vent.
good sound and not drivability issues.
although now i run MR bov

Well, I looked at the advertisement posted.
The word "volume" is there around 10 times, while "recirculation" or "atmospheric" don't seem to be there at all. You can also see instances of "loud" vs "silent" as well as "noise."
Nothing in that advertisement indicates an intent to sell a 'hybrid' diverter valve that allows the end user to regulate between vented and recirculated air pressure.

Video clip of BOV in action. It comes from Australia. Check out the Whistling trumpet.

I does change from vta to recirc!!! But I bought my GFB for 50 bucks!!!! lol i had one on my first evo too! I have had a lot of bovs, gfb is by far the best i have had!!! The only thing people dont know that they must clean them... or it will flutter cause the brass valve will get stuck from all the blow by oil... This new valve is cool, but not for an extra $$$250!!!

one for pressure pipe, one for intake, one for VTA

After watching the vid, that thing looks super high quality. It probably is worth the money. Still, I think guys are right saying the switching from VTA to recirc. will screw with the MAF pretty bad.
#29
not really....
not if you dont go past 70% vta.
i mean it will cause rich condition for a split second between shifts, but not as bad as some other BOV's.
the quaility of the unit is top notch. i've taken one appart. hi quality inside too.
