Mini-Battery/ Alternator

Last night my car started acting funny. When I was driving the lights started to dim out along with the lights in the interior. I have been running an odyssey mini battery for about four months with no problem. After I shut the car of it would not crank again. I had another mini battery in the garage (a buschur one) so I hooked that up and the car started again.

I then unconnected the positive terminal while the car was still running and it stayed on and did not shut off. I then turned the headlights on and it stayed running for a few seconds and then died. So does this mean the mini battery is just defective or could I have a problem with the alternator. It should die when I turn the lights on right?

I am fairly certain that the alternator in our cars is enough to power the car and the lights. If your car died then I think maybe your alternator maybe going.... Not 100% on this though.

easy diagnosis, take it to the local auto-zone/parts box store they can check the alternator while it's on the car....

Alternator has a problem.
The alternator should sustain the car without the battery connected.

the same thing happen to me, its not the "Alternator", its only the fuse
check the main power line from your alternator to your battery (the one with 80amp fuse).....
