How bout an STi interior in an evo???
#19
The RS4 and S4 has a great interior but I don't see how the Sti is better than the Evo, they are both on the cheapper side.
That aside, the Evo interior cleans up well with some custom work and really suits the car when dressed up a bit.

I don't get this thread at all.
First off the Evo is not a racecar. Neither is any car mentioned in this thread. They are all street cars. Racecars don't have an interior really. There are no carpets, no HVAC, most likely no passenger seat unless it's a rally car, and definitely no backseat.
Second, What are you trying to do? Just have a nicer interior or actually swap another vehicles interior into the car? Or one those custom interior's that usually end up looking hideous and more like something that should be in a bass boat?
Third, Mitsu is putting a nicer interior into the X and everybody b*tches they've ruined the car. WTF?

personally i dont think the evo interior is that bad.. ive seen worse. and actually i like it.. putting in an interior from another car would seem odd to me. it would be sort of like the toyota celica with a vtec badge i saw the other day. but thats just me.

i actually love the interior of the evo, why not just get some
sweet gauges and a nice Cd/dvd player or something to break it up?
I mean think about how much of a pain it would be to swap it..
between finding the interior you want, then all the
cutting and trimming and taking the risk of it not fitting right at all,
then you just wasted your time and money....to me it wouldnt be worth it

Mitsubishi is right up there with GM as far as the cheap plastic interiors are concerned. I personally think the other cars have nicer dash pieces as well. The seats are great, but they weren't made by Mitsu anyway.

What is so wrong with the evo interior? I like it and have no desire to change it except someday swapping in the leather trim door panels
Plus I see nothing special about the sti interior, its bland as well but who cares nobody buys either car for the interior, the powertrains is what makes us all want to buy them........

I like the evo's interior. It's straight forward and to the point. Some cars nowadays have so many freaking buttons to get the A/C defroster working I give-up. For example my parents mercury mountaineer. I can't get the a/c going on in that car correctly.
