Gotta love the Evos brakes, AWD and big sticky contact patch. It's like throwing an anchor out the back of the car. It's saved my butt once too.

Yup, I definitely have to adjust my braking habbit with the EVO. I don't have to worry about the cars in front anymore, just the cars from behind.

What happened after the accident? You can't really stop in that tunnel. Did you give your name as a witness?

You have to treat an Evo's braking ability like a motorcycle's, as far as following distance. The Evo can out-brake most cars on the road, so you should leave more space in front of you in case someone slams their brakes. Also, try to anticipate slowdowns and watch two or three cars ahead.
I realize, if you leave too much room in traffic, some jerk will tend to cut in front of you, but I'd rather lose two seconds than rear-end someone or be rear-ended.

lol of course god had nothing to do with it

My 2008 Lancer brakes kept me from smashing into a Honda Pilot when she cut me off. This thread is stupid.

Exactly, Mine worked so well I got rearended when the car was 6 months old..... Dumbass pullend into the turn lane then pulled back into the traffic lane then stopped dead, I stopped, the maxima behind me didn't. A$$Hat that caused the wreck took off right as I was getting hit....

To the OP, glad you and your ride made it out

The evo has saved me in many ways...from rear ending people, not sliding around certain turns, and especially with getting away from the po-po

in an evo you need to worry more about drivers behind you....your brakes will always be better
