Hmm...to a certain degree, you may have a point that they SHOULD know what they are doing. However, how long do you need to be on this forum before reading some story of the negligence of a shop or dealership?

The kid probably assumed the car was just a front wheel drive lancer. Also, he was a kid. Maybe it's not your job to ask them if they know your car is AWD, but then again you're now out of a car for however long it's going to take to fix it while everyone else who works at the shop really doesn't care, because they get to go home in their own car. Trust me on that. I valet at a four star hotel and if something happens to someone's car, no one really cares because it is not THEIR car.

I have no problem telling anyone who deals with my car that is AWD because the majority of them are total f*ckin idiots. I've had to learn that the hard way through my own dealership experiences.

did you even read the original post?

The car rolled back while being driven on the rollers and the door got smashed. regardless what kind of drivetrain the car has, AWD, FWD or RWD it wouldn't have stopped the accident from happening.

Wow, I would have went ape$*it on somebody.

This is why nobody drives my car except me, I repeat "nobody"..
If I can't pull it on the lift/ramps,etc. myself, I will go to another shop, period.

GL on that, at least the owner is taking care of it.

Live and learn i guess..

Did I read the original post? That's cute.

Uhh...yeah...I read the damn post. Did you?

I was commenting on the fact that if the kid knew the car was AWD (because apparently it isn't the job of the owner at all to specify this to a shop full of rookies) he wouldn't have tried to pull it onto the rollers in the first place. You said it is THEIR responsibilty to know this ahead of time and that was the purpose of my response.

Thanks though.

No biggie. Just get carbon

http://www.amazon.com/Mitsubishi-Lan...0901558&sr=1-2

http://www.lancershop.com/customer/p...&cat=49&page=2

around 3k total but you'll get 1000 + JDM points I would put on the parts myself, fack body shops. Get a quote from a body shop of your likening take that quote to the person who damaged your car he gives you a $4000 check and go mod crazy.

It may be different in other states, but I know here in GA there is no need to put a car on rollers for emissions unless it is lower than OBD-II (I believe).

Also, who has come up with the fact that the Evo is the most stolen car? I would've thought it was a Honda.

Whatever happened to personal accountability? How can people claim that it is the responsibility of the consumer to ensure that a business knows how to do their job? As far as being out of your Evo until it's fixed; so what. It's still just a car!
