Harness Install ??????

Harness Install ??????
well i am just wondering who has installed a 4 point harness in there EVO without a harness bar? and where did you mount it? because i am trying to get a good idea where to put it. if you have any pics please post

I wanted to do the same thing and im sure you know you cant mount it to the floor, because if you wreck the seatbelt will snap your shoulders. I was talking to the shop i get all my work done at about it and they said i would have to completely strip out my back seats in order to do it without the harness bar. Not much help but its just an idea.

yeah that is what i did in my civic, but i just wanted to see if anyone has done it without taking out there back seat, just going between or something see if it is possible.

What kind of harness do you have?
If you have a Takata, Willans, or any harness with spring loaded hooks, you can mount the two long straps to the child seat anchors in the rear. If your long straps have brackets with holes (normal) then you should just mount them to the seat belt mounts in the rear. Really easy, takes about 10 minutes. Just make sure you put everything back together they way it came apart!
The two short straps can be mounted to the seatbelt mounting points on the side door side of the seat, and the center storage side of the seat. I would recommend taking the center storage piece out during the install to give you some room.

I have a Shroth Racing 4pt Rallye 3 harness. I used the upper rear shoulder belt anchors for the rear anchor.
It did involve takng out the back seat and pulling apart much of the rear window deck to get everything installed correctly. Considering this was about the safest 4 point solution and the fit Schroth's install specs I figure it was time well spent. Track days are risky enough without improperly installed safety gear.
