car overheating/getting hot

Normally the water pump will begin to leak when a seal goes bad thats when you need to replace it.. but when you do the timing belt it is a good idea to change the water pump since you will have it open anyways.. change ur oil and see if you notice any whiteness in the oil... if you do.. is ur headgasket.. other than that.. just go little by little.. like changing the coolant.. flushing the system.. checking the fans... changing thermostat.. etc... good luck man..
