Effing Road Debris!!!!!!!!!!!!!

when i was going to school in AZ a few years back i was cruising at about 80+ in the fast lane in dense, but flowing traffic. when the car in front of me suddenly swerved & i saw a full size couch about 20 yards up in my lane. i swerved left into the breadown lane & slammed the brakes & just barely squeezed between the couch & concrete wall, but the SUV behind me wasnt able to move or slow fast enough & nailed it head on.... all i saw was a cloud of white smoke, wood chips & shattered plastic as his radiator & the couch exploded on impact. the base section of the couch actually managed to go under the SUV & caused it to get airborne probably 2-3 feet....
while the impact wasnt enough to stop the car or hurt anyone inside, it completly totalled the front end & bent the lower control arms from the vehicle catching air....
road debris sucks!

That effing blows. A few years ago when I was living in LA, I was driving north on the 405 in the carpool lane. The car in front of me kicked up a small chunk of wood that was on the freeway. It bounced off the center divider and straight onto my hood. I had an RSX-S at the time. It was like one of those slow motion moments you see in movies. I saw it coming...everything seemed to slow down...and there wasn't a DAMN thing I could do about it because I was surrounded by traffic. BAM! Right on my hood. Big dent. Thankfully I was able to have one of those dent fixer places pop it out.
