don't be too disappointed...
for all you minnesota EVO owners... BEWARE the geo metro with a super high spoiler!!! it lurks the twin cities on late nights looking for laughs and giggles! it stalked me to no demise when it pulled up to me at over 80 mph... with ease!
after a few corners, he came back right up to me... i pulled into mickey Ds in university and marion in st paul... so did the metro. he said, wanna know my secret? (good thing he's my cousin) b16b with a t3/t04 turbo! how'd it fit? i don't know! but in that 1500 lbs car, 250 ponies ain't no joke!

I'm sorry to bring the bad news to everybody, but the EVO is not the fastest car in the world Guys, the EVO is one fine car, but there are lots of fast cars out there and many have better power to weight ratio. After you are rolling all bets are off. Those Hondas (almost all of them) really rock at high rpms (and they can really go to high rpms).
These threads remind me a little bit of the Miata forums Well, at least the EVO guys will say "damn, I got had buy such and thus...". The Miata guys go something like this "I've got a nicely tuned '91 B model, since I've got this Jackson Racing cold air intake and my nifty Vodoo shift knob, I think I can really show that Ferrari Maranello my tail lights...."
No, don't laugh, I've read many a post where they said that a Miata with a JRCAI can take on and beat twin turbo Porsches And they were serious
I'm waiting to read here one day soon how "my EVO with a (fill in the blank) cat back should easily outrun those overweight and over-rated Lambos".......

My stock Evo should outrun an overweight stock Lambo Murcielago in a 600-ft slalom. Motor Trend said so.
Auto enthusiasts and mechanics alike all know that different tasks require different tools.

i dont know what's going on with your car, but i've already beaten an S2000 pretty bad when i was bone stock..
oh, and i just beat a C5 last thursday (no times tho.. it was just a "real street drags" night).. http://216.120.237.84/~honeyde/cgi-b...20Corvette.MPG
tonite i'm gonna see what my current mods will do.. hoping for 12 sec run..
better luck next time.. and get some gauges and make sure your car's running right..

How come no one is talking about the new benchmark or even the old benchmark of ultimate production based street performance. The Ferrari Enzo / F60 or the Mclaren F1. The Pagani Zonda has incredible capabilites as well.
I think when you can start running the 1/4 or lap times near what those do, you're starting to get up there.

But you have to look at dollar for dollar comparison. I've challenged a lot of people to this simple question:
Find me a new car for less than $30,000 which is faster than the Evo off the showroom floor around a racetrack.
(by off the showroom floor, I mean it has to be factory stock)
