All you DYNO geniuses...
I have a question for those of you with a lot of dyno experience. I dyno'd my car today after adding my cams last night. In february, it was about 50 degrees outside and i was hitting the numbers in my sig, with the mods in my sig actually because i havent added the cams. I dyno'd today, the dyno weather center said it was 100 degrees in the building. I only had 1 pull over 300 and the rest were mid 290's or so.
Do you guys think that a difference in temperatures that much will hold back that much HP ? Or do you guys think that maybe there is something wrong with the dyno and it just isnt reading as well as it was in Feb ? Personally i think the latter because everyone that has been on that thing is running low #'s. I realize a dyno is just a tool to gauge modifications and a great way to tune with real time results... i just dont think weather alone could cause that much of a difference. Especially since the car feels a whole hell of a lot stronger after the cam install.

Weather changes are hell on a turbo charged car. A 50 degree difference is quite significant, not to mention humidity. The air is just so much thicker. Plus unless you are doing a lot to keep the temps cool under the hood, the car isn't going to like a lot of timing on just pump gas.

i can see that... we had the fan blowing directly on the car as usual.... the only time i hit over 300 is when we let it sit for 10 min... watered down the FMIC and piping and radiator. I just cant see losing that much HP from weather when the car on the road feels 10 times stronger

the mustang is configured to adjust weather correction automatically. I do have a base flash for the cams that i got from another member who is running the same setup. I realize cars are different and arent going to react the same way to things, but i dont think i should have lost power, especially not that much
