I dont know how you swung that crap I am almost 30 0 tickets 0 accidents and I was with Allstate for 12 years. They wanted 220 a month for me in both Michigan and Alaska I changed to Progressive and they did it for 128 a month with the full coverage 0 deductible w/ rental

Oh and before you say credit score I have a 770 after I got my Evo

It used to be that once you turned 25 your insurance would go down quite a bit. My friend recently turned 25 and called his company to find out why it hasn't gone down and it seems like they changed the rule to 28 now so you will have to wait three more years for insurance to go down.

Humm.. i pay 980 a year. Full coverage, everything maxed out 500k, 1M, 500k, rental, towing, and everything else they offer...I could pay as little as 650 if i did the minimums.

I just moved to Nevada, geico wants 3k per year. AAA wants 2800/yr. insweb is offering me similar coverage for 1200. I avoid progressive at all costs due to past experience with them.

The whole insurance going down at age 25 is hardly ever true. not all states or insurance companies have that discount. Im 30 and have a clean record. my insurance has never dropped because of my age. But then again, when you have a clean record, your rates are gonna be pretty low.

i wonder if that discount at age 25 is something for being continuously insured for a certain number of years... (9 years if you started driving at 16, if you started driving when your 18 or 19 that might explain why you dont get the discount till yer 28...)

Not true here in PA. I'm one month away from turning 25. State Farm called me out of nowhere back in June to renew my premium based on the fact that it would be substantially lower after turning 25! You probably get another drop at 28, but it definately drops at 25.

To the guy paying 79 monthly with State Farm, how? What is your breakdown on Comp/Collision/Etc, I have state farm in AZ, my rates just dropped at renewal from 132 monthly with 500/500 deducts and glass coverage to 114 monthly, but i get every discount with State Farm, have two cars, motorcycle, flood, homeowners and some lame hospitalization policy thats supposed to cover my kids emergenct room care, but as of yet they have refused every claim on that end.

State Farm talked me into the stupid hospital policy as well. It's basically free because I get a discount just for having multiple policies. I never even attempted using it yet though.

They never went into detail on hospitalization deal, they said if your kids get sick, bring in the ER invoice itemized and they would reimburse, well two er trips later both times they were like no, this or thats not covered.

Like i Said, not all companies and or states do the age 25 thing. If you ask me its just a way for companies to make you feel good about charging you through the but for so many years. (even though you could get it much cheaper elsewhere.)

If you look around you can find that discount price that you will be getting when you turn 25 from other companies before you turn 25.

Also, Stay away from insurance brokers if you can.

In my experience unless you own a home, and or multiple policys state farm is one of the more expensive companies (however they have fantastic service).

First time insured ever the cost for the evo is 165/month...for a 22 year old through AAA w/no tickets....and no multi car discounts....an extra 50 dollars a month is a pretty sad hike....look for other insurance companies
