I never do, I would forget its in gear when I start it and stall abruptly.

Similar topic,
Is it just my car or do you guys have to pull the E-brake entirely up for it to hold the car totally. For instance if its not a click or two from the top position will your car roll slightly?

I dont only because I have a turbo timer. When I am on a hill I manually turn the timer off and put the car in gear though just as an extra precaution.

I always leave it in gear. Specifically 1st gear. I don't have a TT so there is no reason to not leave it in gear.

Like many have stated above, I only leave it in gear if I'm parked on a slope. If you can edit the poll, you should add that as an option.

there are hardly any hills here in chicago so I hardly ever leave the car in gear when parked. I just don't want to forget when I jump in the car and start up

i personally do but i rest the car on the parking brake then release the clutch. That way its not actually resting on the transmission but its there as a backup best of both worlds unless your lazy and own a turbo timer lol

I always leave it in gear. I let the e-brake take the load and then put it in 1st. I just dont trust the well being of my car on it.
