Leave Car in Gear or not?

Just wondering how main people actually leave there evo or there manually car in gear?

I don't, unless on a very steep hill with the front wheels turned in to the curb.

agreed. though on steeper hills, I put up both as a precaution.

Here in NY I see almost nobody do it. When I visited SanFransico with its enormous hills everyone that had a stick shift left it in gear.

I never really leave my car in gear....unless like stated above im on a steep incline hill.

Like the previous posts have mentioned I don't either unless it is a steep hill and of course the wheels turned into the curb.

Ok maybe I'm an idiot, but why would you not leave your car in gear? It seems much safer that way and I can't imagine it hurting the tranny or gearbox. Some cars like Saabs won't even let you take the key out of the ignition unless the car is in gear.
