Looking for a little advice

Hey everybody, I'm going to be in the market to pick up a new car, hopefully by December or so. I'm don't really want to pick up a second hand car. I've been dead set on an evo for a while, but the more I look at the X the more I kinda want to puke. Depending on what the performance is it still may be an outstanding car, but I'd like something that I find visually appealing as well. I've narrowed it down to either getting a X if it is really worth it, get a used IX if I can find one low enough in miles, the new camaro v8 (if i want to go to a new muscle car), and depending on price one of the new supras (depending on how much they sticker for.) I'm stuck in a rut here and I guess it really depends on when the new cars release so i can compare. Any advice?

Why would you consider buying a car that makes you want to puke when you look at it?

Not sure how we can help, because the X won't be available in December, and those other two cars haven't hit the road yet, so we don't know anything about them other than projections.

lol yeah if it makes you want to puke, i wouldn't consider it. no matter how fast a car may be, if you don't like the way it looks, I wouldn't buy it. Have you considered the new STI? I don't know how you are on hatches but it should be able to perform

no, i'm not. don't project your inadequacies onto me...I'm not the person who gave you your pissy life outlook.

I just mentioned December because that's when I'm really going to be ready to buy a second car; I'll have to wait longer for any of the cars i'm interested in with the exception of the IX. As far as being disgusted with the look of the X, i really feel that way about the stock look and if the performance is really there it isn't really difficult to change a few body panels. I'm also not feeling the Subaru, always been an evo fan anyways hehe. I know I'll have to wait but I've been looking over projected numbers so much that they just started to mash together...I'm really just looking for an opinion or two, to bring something fresh into my outlook. Thanks for the positive replies.

Well I wouldn't suggest getting a car that makes you wanna puke when you look at it no matter how fast it is. The only car that really makes sense from your descriptions is a IX with low miles. That is your best bet IMO.

Since every other option you listed has unknown performance/potential at this point, why not wait a bit. Meanwhile, find a nice used IX (which you like as is) and enjoy the hell out of it. Then in a year or two you can see if the Camaro or the X really lived up to all the expectations.

You'd be surprised what you can find on the used market (like my 05) and it sure beats taking the depreciation hit when buying new. It just may take some patience, but you've got until December to search around...

instead of being a ***** why don't you go back down in your mother's basement and play with yourself.

I think I'll look into picking up a used IX and just watch the other vehicles for a bit...does make the most sense at this point.
