Drive around in Astoria, Corona, Jamaica and Richmond Hill. Good chance the car might end up somewhere around there.

These Evo's get stolen a lot, don't they? And to think that I just came home tonight and some gang $H!T was going down right down the street from me! Mine's sitting in the driveway behind a van. Garage time! Sorry to hear about the loss...

I'm sure it was towed on a flat bed. Our evos have chipped keys. So they cant pop the ignition or even think of hot wiring it. Alot of vehicals from 01+ use chipped keys. You can't use a regular tow truck unless they don't care if they kill the awd. Sorry about the lose, dont you have a lojack?

It would actually quite easy to drive an Evo away. The RF keys deter only amature thieves and offer car owners a false sense of security. The thief just needs to bring the right equipment with him to start your car up. The key immobilizer can be bypassed in less than 5 min on the Evo and may other "immobilized" cars.

The scary thing in this case is that the thieves were probably watching the victim for a while. They followed him home.

it's awful to hear another story like this. i really hope your car is found safe & sound. as much as it's a long shot, it's still very possible. good luck!

Just curious on your theory here...

There's enough evos in this area already... I would assume the car will end up in Hempstead. Since it was taken so close to the LI border.
