Colorado running 14.6 stock

Anyone on the forum got a red Evo that ran a 14.6 at Bandimere? There was also a Silver one that had a dual stage nitrous kit with the "N"tercooler sprayer, boost controller, BOV,intake, turbo back exhaust,S-AFC and he ran a 13.8. Doesn't seem right.

Well the elevation is pretty high in Colorado maybe thats why they are running slower?

yeah....the thiner air is less for the Turbo to push thus lossing power......so if u were to bring that to a DRY, Low climate....better times

EDIT: this is why cold air is better because of simple physics....the colder the air the more dense it is thus more air into the engine creating better Hp....even better with a Turbo....becasue a turbo runs on air....so when it comes winter time in Colorado you should see a bit of an increase of power.. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/turbo.htm

Do you know what the 60ft's or trap speeds were, will help determine if it was car or driver...kinda.

I don't know what is 60ft was, but he must have not been a good driver.

I think elevation would matter , but not 14's,, that sounds like bad shifting

Actually mid to low 14's seem to be the norm at Bandimere. The thin air really makes a big difference.

Hey Sikwitit. I was at Bandimere today. Doing some go-kart racing. But I stopped by the drag strip and watched some of those oldies go at it. ANyway I was wandering what My EVO would do and I guessed hig 14's low 15's. I tried timing myself fro 0-60 and could only do high 6's low 7's . The elevation is killing us here. Anyway someone has a fix on this forum for this elevation stuff. I barely talked to him. He is moving back to denver in 1 month. His name on the forum is EVO Specialist. I will PM you with my phone number. Give me a call so that we can meet up.
Later

For sure PM me. I was at the Sport Compact Car Challenge yesterday and saw a yellow EVO with BC,BOV,A/F,Intake and he ran 12.9! It was sweet. Paragon Tuning has done all is work. I have his phone number so you'll have to see it. Stock Red and blue EVO ran 14.6.

Blue one was me. I'm going to try and get up to test and tune, I was launching pretty conservatively yesterday. I'd like to see what happens at a 5500 rpm launch.
