like i highflow cat really helps the environment...GTFO.
if you were so worried about the planet you would be planting trees....something which southern cali has very little of, unlike florida. we have the worst "looking" skies. goes from brown to blue. if you are worried about your car killing the planet....go switch to E85

turd. and yes a high flow cat does help especially compared to a test pipe. Also how often do you see trees growing in areas that get desert levels of rainfall?

Is it true that in California that if you get caught without a catalytic converter you will be fined like $20,000? 10-15whp is not worth that much money when you get caught.

With Florida adopting Cali's emissions, more states will follow suit in the next few years.

That being said, I'll probably go to a high-flow cat.

Not that I agree to them. I think it's just one more way for them to limit everyone and say who can do what and who can't do what.

kinda reminds me of motorcycle people that raise hell when a state passes a helmet law. sure, it imposes on your individual freedom. but when the guy without a helmet gets into an accident, ends up requiring a medevac via helicopter, has exorbidant hospital fees, all covered by insurance, and raises everyone's collective medical insurance rates, it makes me think, screw your individual rights to crack your head open.

i have no desire to pay for someone else's health problems. much like i have no desire to breathe fumes from uncatalyzed exhaust when i'm stuck in commute traffic. an electronic bypass at the track is cool. test pipe on a street car? irresponsible and worthless the other 98 % when you're not wide open.

if i were a california tuner, i'd be thrilled. california has had to make power with crap fuel for a long time and i'd market that experience big time.

That is more of a natural selection issue.

As for the statement you quoted me on - it's more of a broader term. I.E. how people raise their children now.

And for making power under crap fuel... I'd like to start seeing the same power made on E85 (I know they are working on it, re F1). I can't wait for that.

ya its pretty funny how government people say "everyone should drive hybrid cars, or take the bus system, do this do that" yet you see them riding around in huge *** cars and SUV using ton of fuel. You cant say do as i say not as I do. That is just not right. another thing its kinda pointless to do certain things to decrease a problem yet not do other things as well for the same proble. Such as planting more trees, making recyling mandatory like in wa state ect...
let me tell ya, the government is not doing this for the enviornment, its for other reasons PERIOD! If government really wanted to put a stop to something they would pass crap loads of laws as many as they can think. For one its a way to keep the economy going by making people spend money on new cars instead of driving the same one for decades. think of the laws we have, do you think speeding laws are there to save lifes, NO its there to keep money rolling into the states. Do you think drinking and driving laws are there to save lifes, NO it there again to get money. If they wanted to put an end to saving lifes they would have make all alchole drinks illegal to drink in pulic restaurants, bars ect. and only allowed in your house to drink. There are laws that say its ok to sell stuff to the public yet illegal to use it? does that make any sense, NO! so those laws are there not to save lifes but to make money. its all money!! The government is very good at designing laws to make people brake them and to keep people from spending money, this is why we are the richest country.

Don't forget the fact that 93 octane will go away for the 91 pisswater. Will also hurt some of the newer cars coming out, new supra and skyline? I think those are late 08/09 cars.

Who needs 93? Theres E85 now... it's just pushing the performance market to adopt it as a standard.
