Help Diagnose this sound [VIDEO]

I had my timing belt/balance belt and all pullies/tensioner replaced a couple months ago. The alternator was also replaced.

Ever since a week after the install there is a high pitched "zzzzzzzz" sound that increases and decreases as the RPM's do.

We tried a different serpentine belt and the sound is still there. When we changed the belts we did notice the water pump had a spot of dusty/dried anti-freeze which must have leaked out.

I've never had any drips of fluid under my car though and the belt is always dry when I check it after driving.

Any suggestions on what to try to help narrow this down would be much appreciated.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...69092108818208 - turn down your sub if you have one while watching.

Thanks

EDIT - The sound is always the same...it hasn't gotten worse...even after multiple 4th gear pulls for my TTP flash. It's just annoying as hell.

It appears your Tbelt tensioner is overtightened and out of range of where the autotensioner can do anything.

Thanks Scott. I'll talk with Nick and see if he can adjust that for me.

What are the negative ramifications of driving like that?

Wearing out your oil pump as it is yanking up on the sproket with too much force.

Tension... or perhaps an out of aligned pulley.

Nice work TTP, you nailed it from half way across the country We loosened the timing belt some and the noise is almost completely gone. I'm ok with a little noise, most can't hear it since they aren't used to listening for it.

Probably my engine dampner or the solid front motor mount causing vibration.
