Alright tonight I was driving around and went to my girlfriend's house to pick her up, put the car in reverse and then went into first to go and my car started to studder like it was going to die, now I hear rattling coming from the front of the car and car shakes and vibrates like crazy mainly at idle, everything looks fine on the motor and it still feels like it has power, could it be internal? Anyone have any ideas? Plz help!

ok so here is what I ruled out, car starts no problem, still drives and goes into all gears without a hassle, now when I get moving it begins to studder like crazy and I can hear alot of engine noise with a very loud rattle and vibration, once I'm moving the car has power, has no boost issue, when I come to a stop idle is normal but feels like its about to die, get going again sounds like bouncing rocks and then loses the sound and drives normal, but lacks power at the beginning of all gears and take about 5 secs to actually get moving and power in first

possibly something to do with the clutch/flywheel.

 

clutch seems fine, gears still work, I checked the oil and it looks a little low but still has oil, I know its not a boost leak because it can still boost and nothing popped off, it lacks quite a bit of power and it sounds like pieces are floating around in the motor I'm smelling burning oil but no smoke.. I'm out of ideas

 

take a sound clip and post it.
Then I can determine whether or not its an engine noise. I doubt it though

no rattling noise at idle but it has that feeling when you let out on the clutch without giving it gas and it studders kinda problem but the car shakes like no other, and when I try to go it has hardly any power until I get moving

yeah but it shifts no prob

 

hmmm so after a certain point in every gear you have full power again? you are saying at the start of the power band you have no power but as the rpms rise you get more power?
