Can someone look at there headlight housings and look at the 9005 harness which is pluged into the bulb on the housing and tell me on what side of the clip the colors are connected.

There are two wires on a 9005 harness and I need to know which one goes where.

Someone cut the wiring to my headlights so I have no idea if the black wire goes on the right side or left side of the clip.

So the harness looks like this, I would assume that the black wire gets connected to the car side black wire, and the red goes to the color wire on the harness/bulb.

All I need someone to do is to look at there high beam plug and tell me which color wires are on the particular side of the clip

I just looked at mine.
If you look at the harness while attatched to the bulb from the back:
Black w/ White stripe is on the right
Red w/ Blue stripe is on the left.
This is the drivers side Headlight wiring.
I assume it is the same for the passenger light.
If you can't find that colour code on the passenger side, hit this thread back and I will check again.

ok, so looking at the picture I have above, the black with white stripe would be on the right side and the other on the left side correct?

Pay attention to the wires in the car. The ones on the light harness aren't important.

On the 9005 harness you bought the wire on the left side goes to the left terminal, and visa versa. Make sure the harness in the car connects to the correct side. (Ignore the 9005 harness colours)
BLK w.WHT = right
RED w/ BLU = left

I understand, its just confusing as when you say right and left, it could mean two different things, as the clipside of the harness could be facing up or down, and the 9005 harness could be facing toward you or away from you...

But I am pretty sure that when the harness is facing you, like in the picture above, and the clip side is facing up, that the black/white goes on the right, and the red/blue on the left.

If looking at it the way you describe it. It would be exactly oppisite.
BLK w/ WHT=left
RED w/ BLU=right

You can at least see the orientation of the harness to the Black wire. Does this help?????????

I will let you know if I have any other questions with the headlight wiring come tuesday. The only other harness should be the main headlight harness, which I believe is a 8-9 pin plug. I have those wire colors but a picture of them would be awsome. Showing the color change from the car side to the headlight side.

They should be the same going through the harness. The colour code on the light should have the same as the car. I'll take some good pics for ya 2 morrow.

I thought so too but they change in color and size too. Most of the wires are bigger on the headlight side of the main plug.
