Help! Knock??

I just installed the ETS Intercooler piping... and after it was all installed i have a slight ticking noise, sounds like its coming from the cam cover, or around that area... any idea what it could be? a knock maybe?

Its likley always been there. The EVO has a noisey idle. and a noisey valvetrain.

Likely what you are hearing though is the injectors firing. Put a long screwdriver against the injector and your ear at the other end. Is this the noise you are hearing amplified

Did you have your car parked on an incline for any amount of time?

I know from expierience that if you park the EVO on an incline for an extended period of time the lash adjustors get air pockets and become super noisey and you have to follow the in car bleed procedure that is in the shop manual. Basically it consist of revving the engine slowly and gradually to 3k and hold it there for 30 sec or so then let of and repeat

I wouldnt worry about it. It dosent sound like anything abnormal for the EVO like I said the valvetrain is noisey on these cars. The injector firing is also very audible.

What you are hearing is not knock though you could log it if you have EVOSCAN to see this

Good Luck
