Defi installed. Questions...

Just finished up a 60MM DEFI BF Boost (Imperial) gauge install with CUII.

When the opening ceremony starts, its does the full sweep forward but coming back it ticks. Just wondering if this was normal?

Also, I was tuned for 22PSI. The Defi peaked at 24PSI. Are defi's inaccurate?

Thanks in advance.

Is your opening ceremony similar to what I described?

Full sweep up is very smooth.
Full sweep down is not smooth. Ticking like a clock.

I have the Defi Blue Racer Gauges, and I haven't heard any ticking coming from any of the 3 I have installed. I'll chime in later when I have AMS tune my car, too see if the boost gauge matches what it's tuned for.

My friend has the exact same gauges ( look awesome!) but his sweeps smoothly back into place, no ticking or hesitations. As for psi being off by 2 psi must be part of the issue. I was with him when he was getting dynoed and no one ( tech or my friend complained of offset boost #'s of gauges compared to datalogs. Check with whomever you purchased your gauges or the manufacturer site for question or answers. Good luck

Does anyone know if the supplied "T" fitting with defi's has some sort of built in restrictor? I used the factory "T" fitting (sports meter kit) and am thinking this might be the reason I am reading 2PSI off.

No there is no restrictor in the T. If your gauge was reading 10psi or 30psi i would worry. You dont have a problem.

Opening ceremony is supposed to be like that. The lights just flash very quickly and give it the "ticking" effect. Needle is actually moving at a constant speed.

My tee didn't come with a restrictor. My Blitz SBC boost controler and Defi are reading the same but they are using the same signal source.
