Take it to Autozone & have them read the code.

On a stock evo you shouldn't be getting any codes at all. Either check the code and report back or take it to the dealer.

yeah if the car is totally stock I would be going to Mitsu...if I was you. Other than that you should be changing the oil yourself..

A P0300 OBD code indicates a random or multiple misfire. If the last digit is a number other than zero, it corresponds to the cylinder number that is misfiring. A P0302 code, for example, would tell you cylinder number two is misfiring. Unfortunately, a P0300 doesn't tell you specifically which cylinder(s) is/are mis-firing, nor why.

misfire

I know this happend alot on the VIIIs but not the IXs. I didn't receive any P0300 codes until I had the cosworth cams put in. So with a TBE, MBC and high flow cat I never got any codes pop up. What kind of gas did you use? I use to put in anything as long as it was cheap. Now I only use Unocal 76.

codes

I think P0300 codes are something all evo owners have to learn to live with.
