Which Wideband gauge? AEM/Autometer?

Im looking to add a wideband for tuning, but im looking for some recommendations. I think ive settld on either a AEM or Autometer. Which would you prefer or if you can mention some pros and cons of each product. Even better if you have a suggestion that would be great.

I have both the AEM UEGO and the LC-1 in my cars.

I use the AEM UEGO in my IS300 and the LC-1 in the evo.
I've also installed 5-7 LC-1's in the EVO's.

I have used an LM-1 for a while, a PLX and a Zeitronics.

My personal preference is the LC-1 because it's a little more versatile than the AEM. The AEM is made very simply. I like the gauge style and how it's really just a small concise unit.

The LC-1 gauge (XD) is able to be mounted in smaller areas. You have the ability to use LogWorks to log data and change your multiple outputs.

I have some issues with the LC-1 brain dying but it may be due to my car having a remote start on it.

The AEM has non-programable outputs. 0-1 volt and 1-5 volt.
I use it to datalog but into a standalone EMS.
When I look at my logs I run a formula against the AEM data in order to read it in AFR.

It comes with no software to log. It's really designed to be logged in some sort of standalone EMS.

The logger I use with the evo EvoScan accepts the LC-1 without issues.

I believe you can make a USB logging cable for the AEM but I think that's sort of a pain in the ***.

That's not really the point.

You can make a USB logging cable for anything really.

It's that it has no logging software, and is unable to be programmed for a specific output so it may not suit your needs exactly.

So your logging software is looking for 1-2 volts and the AEM outpus 0-1 and 1-5. Well, you're out of luck. It's not a huge deal, but it can be if you're in that specific situation.

don't forget that the people that did the test did not perform it properly and made it biased towards the innovate wideband...

however, they are both great units...I own the Zeitronix and would go either or ...i just love how easy it is to use, read, log and set up

Also,
don't forget that none of you really need anything that accurate and it really doesn't matter in the bigger picture.

If you tune yourself, your goal is not for a specific AFR. If you're showing 5 counts of knock throughout the RPM range, hell you may want richen it a tad regardless of what your wideband reads.

How many of you are actually tuning yourself?
I do, and whether I'm tuning using my AEM or my LC-1 it makes absolutely no difference to me.
