is it black or like a goldish color? if its black it is prolly soot and can be cleaned off with soap and water.. if it is goldish it may actually be "burned" into the bumper.. +1 for asking though as mine is burned in andi would like to fix it..

What do you mean by "around the exhaust?" On the paint on the bumper? Or on the exhaust tip? Anyhow, the best way to fix it is to just get a carbon fiber or SS shield. After a while, even the carbon fiber shield starts to get that yellow-ish color, although much less than the paint.

clay bar or cleaner wax will work just fine to get the black off the bumper cover.

yeah man... if it's black, use soap and water... if that doesn't work... scrub harder.

or your exhaust isn't angled the best way... or you're running a test pipe...

I second the clay bar. that stuff is amazing for cleaning your paint in general, and does a great job on the black soot.
