Hey, SilverStreak, there is NOTHING wrong with knowing nothing. The only thing that is wrong is not doing your own research, not reading the rules, and not posting in the newbie section. All it takes is a little effort. Give none, and you get none.

I couldn't agree more, Warrtalon. I just wish that people would be blunt and say that rather than beat this kid up for not knowing better. Everyone's entitled to make nooB mistakes, you know?

That said, Warrtalon knows his ****, eventhough he can be abrasive. His package he offers is a good deal. I would trust what he suggests for 300 WHP.
What are you talking about? we all said...intake and exhaust, intake and exhaust.
what is the 1st thing you buy when you have any kinda car?.... intake and exhaust

Is there a sticky on this subject or has anyone thought about making one since this has been brought up a million times? It can say "hey want to make 300whp then look inside..." just a thought instead of wasting time telling someone to use the search and then proceeding to list all of the necessary or unnecessary mods.

No, not everybody said that - read above.

No, those are not the proper first two mods, sorry.

We don't have stickies for basics like that. It's all detailed in my sig anyway.

Gas mileage depends on how you drive (how often you boost), but the avg MPG usually goes up when you go from 100% stock to stg1. The tuning and free breathing improves gas mileage usually.

Man you gear heads reply FAST! THX,. #39 I appreciate you candid answer. #40, I supercharged my Solara, and I had a 2 mile increase per gallon, AS LOng as I stay off the Juice. I was able to beat most Evo's and STi's off the start and it was automatic. The only way with the Evo is to launch it (I did it accidently). Would makin' 300 hp increase the speed on take off, withouy launching.

Your Solara didn't beat any Evos off the line unless they didn't launch - plain and simple.

You can't take off fast in an Evo without actually launching, because we have no power out of boost, and there is no boost below 3500rpm in 1st gear.

Thx,. How much faster would it be after making 300 hp, off the line without launching?

Huh? The question doesn't make sense. The Evo is not fast off the line without launching. You have to be in boost whether you have 200whp or 600whp. We make our peak power above 6000rpm, not at 2000rpm.

Is there a way of increasing horsepower without adversely affecting boast? Or increasing power at around 2000 rpm range., so not to launch, because launching would wear out the clutch.
