I would be using it for a bike rack. BTW I love seeing cars with little race trailers!

YOU ARE A GOD!!!!
i am ALWAYS on the ams, buschur, slowboy sites and have TOTALLY overlooked
this!!! all the time i spent searching and it was right in front of my face the whole time!
Thank you again!

BY the way anyone who says the owners manual says not to tow. i do realize this
further back in the manual it also says you can "pull" a car as long as its smaller than your car!

Thanks no one has ever called me a God before. I gave up searching for a hitch about 2 months ago and just happened to come across that one a couple of days ago. If you get it let me know how it works out.

Thumbs down

ok so i went ahead and ordered that hitch.
it came, and i put it on today.
i am going to be calling or contacting slowboy about this one.
this hitch is so rickety i wouldn't put a bick rack onit much less tow ANYTHING
with it. probably rip the fuggin rear end right off pulling away from a stop sign
i don't know if ive installed it wrong, i mean its pretty simple.
bolts on between crach bar and body with longer bolts. but this thing moves so much. i don't know. i wonder if anyone else on here has one?
in the mean time DON'T buy one till i figure this junk out.
other than that it fits sweet even with greddy exhaust. too bad you can't use it...

sure but the pictures won't really show you how flimsey the hitch is.
by itself the hitch is a very nice piece and it fits incredible but it mounts to a very
unsecure place on the veh.

Scrub. You can tow with any car you want. You could do it with a damn shifter kart if the load was small enough.

I see that you're ivey tuned. Guess you didn't read the part where it says not to modify the vehicle in anyway and not to use any aftermarket manufacturer.

i have a hitch. it came on the car when i bought it. i took it off when i put a new bumper on. its not like the slow boy one it mounts to the frame in the center. the only thing i didnt like about it was that u have to cut into the bumper for the hitch output to go through i am not sure of where it came from. might have been a mitsu one off part, since the car was a mitsu demo car before i bought it. ill take a pic of it so u guys can maybe get some ideas.

Thanks for the heads up. Bike racks are really hard on hitches so I guess that one is out of the question. Let us know if you figure something out to make it more sturdy.

That guy was "rallytrak", his hitch works pretty well and you don't have to cut the bumper or anything. Not sure if he's still around, though.

Also, hitches for the base model lancer will not clear the rear fascia on the Evo, you'd have to modify it to lower the receiver another inch or so.

The hitch in the pictures above is from DrawTite (#24718), which is for the base model lancer. That's why the guys bumper was cut to make it fit.
