If the exedy twin is slipping, I would start thinking and considering a Tilton !

It sounds like he has a tricky enough time driving the exedy and you're going to recomend him a tilton Tiltons are not for novices.

why not go with the ACT and a heavy duty disc? hell, the street disc can hold up to 400lbs torque, the high capacity disc should be more than enough. . .and it's not as trick to drive as the Exedy!

i believe the hdss from act holds 497 lb of torque. just about where he's at. price of the clutch itself runs a little over 500.

just curious, why are tiltons "not for novices" ? is it just because of the pedal pressure increase? i had an act in my 8 and it was just a stiffer pedal, whats different about engaging an exedy or a tilton over compared to stock or an act?

if you buy a twin disk, the flywheel, clutch plates, floater, and pressure plate are all one unit. twin plate setups don't use universal flywheels, it is part specific.

tilton and carbon clutches are not harder to press, they are just difficult to drive because the engagement changes depending on how hot the clutch is. when you get in the car in the morning and leave for work, it will be very different then when your at the race track with a hot clutch. its not that "difficult" to drive, it is just different then your run of the mill regular clutch.
