just did a leak test and and noticed the throttle body was hissing. I didn't have time to mess with it much longer but does anyone think this could cause some worry? My friend had the same thing and put the upgraded throttle body on and it held 25 psi fine. i only put 19 psi to it btw.

I dont think those numbers are too bad on that dyno. I have pretty much the same mods as you minus the 02 housing and i made 309whp and 308 tq @ 102 degrees F on their dyno. The heat is a big factor since you still have the stocker fmic. Me and you both need a 10.5 hotside and fmic.

Did you both have the same correction factor?

Not sure. My sheet says CF: SAE, and then if i look at the bottom of the sheet with all the details of the run conditions it says SAE 1.04

I'm really not even sure how that works, as far as the correction factor. Not sure what the 1.04 really means.

if i recall reading, older evos prior to the 05 models had the smaller hotside, which probably is why the lack of power plus the AEM and the huge injectors.

The smaller hotside is not going to make a big difference. I am guessing that the injectors is what is stopping you from making more power.

its not the injectors nor hotside. simply put even on an experienced tuner im sure it's like any other evo other than he went the expensive route. sure once he plans to push the turbo to 25+ psi then i can see how it would hurt him not allowing for enough air to flow through. then maybe the need for injectors, hotside would be needed. his stock front mount should hold out just fine unless of course you were like previously stated your dynoing the car when its hot out. that can have an affect. It'd be nice to show us your print out to take a look to see how well it was put together. btw, a hissing sound from your throttle body. is it from your throttle body to your intercooler piping? because if it is thats a boost leak. meaning less power!

yes. i put my pressure tester onto the intake going into the turbo and pushed between 15-18 psi. the leak sound was coming from the trhottle body are and if i jiggled the throttle body it got better and worse (i didn't open the throttle body just wiggled it. I agree that i think it is a boost leak. Besides bushur anyone reccomend any new throttle bodies?

I curently have 272 cams/cam gears, aem ems w/ wb, 850 injectors/255pump. springs retainers, intake, tbe, o2 housing and few other things.
Input down 312hp and 293tq.
Glad you found the issue!

A camm'd VIII with 10.5 hotside should be very close to a IX. I think you'd be there with the hotside.
