I found a magnet inside my cam angle sensor.
So I was doing my camshaft install tonight and I opened the cover to my intake side cam angle sensor. Inside, attached to the bolt was a small magnet.
Is this normal? It's not secured anywhere. Just kind of hangin out on the back of the bolt.
The car has 17k miles. Never been to the dealer for service. Never been out of my hands for any work and the CAS has never been opened before. Ever.
Maybe this is the cause of the random knock that I get sometimes.

your not the only one that found a magnet on their ride....
my story is that i couldnt close my trunk, im accustomed to closing it and i know how much force is needed to close it (during a week of owning my car). suddenly it wouldnt close right, i had to close it hard than usual, so i was looking at the lining of the trunk where it seams with the body of the car, and noticed a magnet of that same diameter/size it wasnt allowing it to close properly, it was indenting itself to the inner lining of the body where it meets with the trunk, fortunately it wasnt noticeable, because it chipped away paint in that area, i put the magnet somewhere in the trunk for future reference.

Yes.
It makes the chess pieces stick to the chess board.
That's weird.
Maybe magnets are a new fad in Japan. JDM fashion.
