dunno what to do?

hello, i have an evo with all of the mods in my sig and a shep ultimate ratio tranny just put in and i was offered 26500 for my car from my brother and i was wondering if i should do it. is that what the car is worth or can i get more out of it? The car has 23000 miles on it and has never been in a wreck and there arent many rock chips in it. also it is a 2006 ix SE. if i do sell it i am gonna lease one of those 5.7 tundras, the 4 door one and build a 1978 datsun 280z with a supra motor or a rb26 motor because i think those are pretty cool. i think i can make one for 15000 in total with the motor and exterior and interior. You guys think this is a good idea?

Thanks

so its a 06 with a new clutch. 26,500 is a good price. plus why screw your bro. the 280z sounds like a major money pit.

Are you trying to save money by selling the evo? If that's the idea I would be tempted to just keep the evo and drive it for a good ten years, instead of getting a truck and a project car. I don't think the evo will be eclipsed by something else in the same price range for a while. I went to Summit Point this past weekend and saw a ton of E30 bimmers. Some track only cars, some race prepped street cars. The point is when you've got a good car, you've got a good car. The evo is a good car.

he offered me that much, i didnt know if that was a good price and he was a big reason why i needed a new clutch and the tranny. but if he is really serious ill do it for cheaper. the 280z might be a money pit but i think it will still be cheaper than 15000 because i found a shell for 500, the supra 2jz motor for 2500 with a 4 speed auto and a local shop said the install on that would be 1000 dollars. then just buy a 67mm single with a fuel system and thats 600 easy. also that is a really light car. but i dunno how much the cosmetic stuff is gonna cost because the shell has some rust on the roof.

the evo is very fun, but a 280z with a 2jz swap and a 67mm with the auto tranny will be a 9sec car for sure. its really tempting

Seems a little like you already have your sights set on the 280. I'd say go ahead and sell it to your bro! Everyone would be happy in the end that way.

go to kbb.com and check your car value yourself.

But it won't add the price for mods, you have to do that yourself. add the price accordingly.

but wait, 2006 SE w/ 23k miles. DAMN!

You ever gotten yourself into a resto-mod project before? They are ALOT of work. Especially something that old, unless you completely restore the car you are going to be fighting rust the whole time you own it. Older cars are alot of fun but it's almost always cheaper to fix what you've got. (or in your case just make it better)

yea im really leaning towards the 280z because that would be one hell of a car. ill post the pics from start to finish, but the only problem is that i wont have a fun daily driver car like the evo. a tundra would be cool but it doesnt beat driving the evo around, but its not like im never gonna drive the evo again because i still live with my bro and that probably wont change for a little while.
