So I'm trying to rotate my tires for the first time and can not figure out how the wheel locks work, or rather how to remove them. And yes, I have the key. What am I not understanding? If the key just supposed to slip on and unbolt them they must have given me the wrong key because I can't even get it on.

 

Key only fits one way,did you try several different positions until it slides in.

Any if anyone is using Mcgard wheel locks, do yourself a favor and dump them into trash before it breaks (been there, done that).
Get a set of Gorilla wheel locks, the teeth are much stronger.
