What should I do?

What should I do?
I've had a handful of cars since I've been driving...and I've never particularly been into the Evo. Anyway, I drove one for the first time a few weeks ago and I fell in love with it. I found a 2005 MR at a local dealership recently, and I haven't driven it yet, but I found out a few things about it and I wanted to know what you all think.
The car has 20,000 miles on it, no dents, scratches, or curb marks. It has a few gauges (boost, etc.), downpipe, exhaust, intake, and I believe that's it. Do you guys think this would be a wise investment? These mods are definitely ones that I would consider on down the road...but I don't want to buy a car with problems. I got them down to $28,999 for the car, and it's worth a little over $30k. I can afford the payments and the loan, and I love the car. I still have to drive it, but presuming it doesn't feel strange or make any awkward noises, what do you think?
Thank you very much!
Matt

Sounds a little on the pricey side to me.....I would think closer to $26k would be more reasonable if it's in excellent shape. Maybe different in your area though. Have you shopped around much?

$29k is waaay too much money. You could save up $3-4k more and buy a brand new Evo with zero miles instead. I've noticed a lot of people pricing their Evos way too high lately. KBB doesn't take into account that these cars have most likely been beat on and driven much MUCH harder than a typical everyday car. I would never pay more than $20 for an '03 or more than $26 for an '05 used.
This guy just sold his '05 for $22k with about the same amount of miles, granted it's not an MR, but in this case I think the buyer and seller both got a fair deal: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=291566

It's definitely too much money. I personally don't think the mods should factored in as an increase in value; heck, maybe they should even reduce the value of the car. I would MAYBE pay $24k.
